A QCD allows you to make a tax-efficient charitable gift directly from your IRA, potentially reducing your taxable income while supporting housing, shelter, and care for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
What Is a Qualified Charitable Distribution?
A Qualified Charitable Distribution is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian to a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit like Cornerstone Community Outreach.
-Annual limits per year may change regarding how much can be donated per individual (per IRS rules)
-The gift is excluded from your taxable income
-QCDs may count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year
-The distribution must be made directly from the IRA to CCO
-Please note: QCDs are not available from active employer plans such as 401(k)s or 403(b)s.
